Natural ingredients: keys for the food of the future

FOODTECH is the chosen scenario to present our latest developments for the food industry

For yet another year, we will be at FOODTECH (Gran Vía de Barcelona – Hall 5 – Level 0 - Stand G738), an international benchmark event that brings together machinery, technology, processes and ingredients for the food and beverage industry throughout the whole of Southern Europe and Latin America. It is an unmissable event for innovation, the latest trends and the internationalisation of the sector.

This year, FOODTECH will be held from 8th to 11th May and is organised into three key areas: Tecno Cárnica, Tecno Ingredientes and Tecno Alimentaria. Tecno Ingredientes (Techno Ingredients) is the scenario chosen by TECNALIA to raise awareness of new effective and innovative solutions based on the formulation and development of new á la carte ingredients for the food industry in its commitment to offer healthier food for a better quality of life and ageing of society.

We will present a new scenario of opportunity through innovative assets and technological developments in the field of natural ingredients to improve the quality and nutritional value of food, increasing the useful life and reducing the presence of undesired compounds in addition to improving the bio-availability of nutrients, digestibility and texture. As an example, we will exhibit colourants, proteins, polyphenols, carotenoids, etc. with antioxidant and functional activity.

In short, it is a showcase for innovation and trends and will be a place where the keys and challenges of the present and future of the food sector will be on display.
