TECNALIA at the 9th edition of Quantum Information in Spain

This event, organised by the Spanish Network of Quantum Information and Quantum Technologies (RITCE), is an annual benchmark conference in the field of quantum information in Spain.

ICE-8 will bring together international researchers and the scientific community to address all major aspects of quantum information science and technology. The event offers a unique platform for knowledge exchange, from quantum computing and quantum communications to quantum metrology and quantum sensing, as well as other enabling quantum technology.

TECNALIA’s quantum information experts

TECNALIA's experts will take part in scientific sessions and also in networking, presentations and other social interactions to foster dialogue and collaboration with other researchers, academics and industrialists.

  • Yue Ban will give a talk on neural-network-assisted quantum magnetometers. Significant breakthroughs have been made in quantum sensing and quantum metrology, and they are now at the forefront of the new generation of quantum technology. The presentation will showcase different neural network-assisted quantum magnetometers, with results that show that the combination of quantum sensing and neural networks leads to adaptive protocols for quantum sensing with a wide operating regime and high precision. It is a strategy that can be applied to different quantum platforms such as trapped ions and nitrogen-vacancy centres in diamond. TECNALIA hopes that this research greatly advances the application of neural networks in quantum technology.
  • Estíbaliz Garrote will present the work of the TECNALIA & UPV-EHU team on signal processing of quantum sensors with deep learning systems in order to exploit the ultra-high precision and sensitivity potential of quantum devices.
  • Sebastián V. Romero will present an algorithm that efficiently decomposes physical-chemical systems into operators that can be understood by quantum computers, allowing the quantum simulation of materials, molecules, drug design and the resolution of optimisation problems.
