Composites are strategic materials in all sectors in which lightweighting is a priority: automotive industry, aeronautics, wind power, etc. However, there are still limitations regarding costs, production rates and reliability in manufacturing processes, thus preventing greater penetration in the market.
The integration of technical developments based on Industry 4.0 concepts like digital twins could offer solutions to these problems and enable us to explore their potential.

CONTENT
- We will present our view on the role of composites in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the potential of implementing digital twins in their manufacturing processes.
- We will also give some examples of composites manufacturing processes, adapting the 4.0 philosophy.
TARGET AUDIENCE
- Anyone interested in the application of 4.0 concepts to composites manufacturing processes, from a business or technological point of view.
