We will share our experience in sustainable wood construction to create an urban carbon sink environment
Sustainability, reduction of emissions and capturing atmospheric CO2 are the major challenges facing construction today, as well as the generation of less waste and the increased durability of constructed elements. The Spanish Construction Technology Platform (PTEC) is organising the "Conference on sustainable materials, circular economy and restoration".
Sustainable materials, circular economy and restoration
- Trends in new, more sustainable, recyclable building materials with a low carbon footprint that help mitigate climate change will be discussed.
- Best circular economy practices for the construction sector will be discussed.
TECNALIA’s participation
At TECNALIA, we are working on different areas related to the design of wood-based materials and the recovery of wood by-products for the manufacture of new, high-performance materials. We design and evaluate high quality and more sustainable prefabricated building solutions.
- We will share our experience in sustainable wood-based construction.
- Inés Alonso will speak on "New materials and sustainable construction. Sustainable wood construction for urban transformation".
- We recommend the use of wood and all its derivatives as sustainable and durable building materials to create a carbon sink city.
