Inspección y diagnostico de maderas

Date

27 September 2023

Venue

Donostia - San Sebastian

Time

9:00 am - 2:30 pm

COAVN, the Official Basque-Navarra Gipuzkoa Association of Architects, in collaboration with the Basque Government, is organising the practical workshop on "Existing Wooden Structures; Inspection and Diagnosis"

Our colleague, Josu Benito Ayúcar  will report on:

  • The scopes of different types of inspection instruments.
  • The most common cases of degradation, the agents causing them and their assessment method will be presented.
  • Instruments and samples of degraded wood will be exhibited to enable attendees to see and assimilate the information.
  • Real cases of inspection and intervention will be analysed to showcase the most common actions in wooden building structures in our geographical environment.

Training offered in previous years, updated as a practical workshop, for which the face-to-face format is necessary so that we can see analysis instruments and agents that cause many of the pathologies that occur in wood on real samples: In addition, the face-to-face format makes it easier to follow the calculation proposals of the practical cases that will be studied.
