Gaia-X Open-Source Software Community Day ; cornerstone for the construction of data spaces
Find out how Gaia-X is driving the secure and federated data infrastructure
Share data securely and stay in control
Gaia-X has become a revolutionary initiative to build a secure and federated data infrastructure for businesses and citizens. It aims to enable organisations and individuals to share their data in a controlled manner and maintain sovereignty over it at all times. To achieve this, Gaia-X proposes a decentralised architecture based on a common standard: the Gaia-X standard.
The implementation of secure data spaces: what does it mean to be Gaia-X compatible?
The approach proposed by Gaia-X will be explored in a talk and the crucial question of what it means to be Gaia-X compatible will be addressed.
- The talk will focus on bringing together all the pieces needed to offer secure data sharing spaces to the end user.
- Examples of real projects that are implementing or developing data spaces following the Gaia-X standard will be presented.
- We will find out about EKODATA, a research project developed in the Basque Country that focuses on the valuation of data spaces, based on elements of the Gaia-X architecture.
Keynote speaker: Ana Isabel Torre - Expert in Big Data and Data Driven Architectures
This talk will be given by Ana Isabel Torre, PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of the Basque Country. She is currently responsible for the High-Performance Architectures (HPA) Core at TECNALIA, leading research in Big Datatechnologies, data governance and Cloud Continuum.
- Her work focuses on collaboration in proposals, evaluation of new technologies, design and implementation of projects in the areas of Big Data/Big Data Analytics and data-driven architectures, with a special focus on storage, transformation (ETL) and batch or real-time analysis/query.
- Her latest research focuses on making analytical processes in production environments in the domain of Industry 4.0, energy and transport operational, as well as the adaptation to complex computing environments, such as Edge Computing. She is also investigating data governance around concepts, such as sharing and quality.
