The 2nd edition of the IMIC (Industrial Maintenance Innovation Conference) will take place from 28 May to 1 June, coinciding with the BIEMH, and will focus on predictive maintenance for industry.

This innovative event combines an exhibition area, a conference, and networking areas all under the same roof, aiming at strengthening its international and industrial profile and focussing on the need to explore predictive maintenance related to advanced manufacturing in further detail.

The contribution of intelligence to maintenance management is key, which is why TECNALIA will have a stand at the event to share some of our technological developments focused on increasing business competitiveness, and improving people’s quality of life.

On this occasion our stand will be displaying “Daswin”, a monitoring system which provides a comprehensive fatigue and failure mode prediction service for wind turbines. This system allows possible catastrophic failures to be predicted (such as blade breakage), which guarantees extending the useful life of wind farms and the corresponding significant savings. The “smartbearing” system will also be demonstrated, which integrates sensors in the bearings of heavy goods vehicles for land transport, making it possible to carry out predictive maintenance, anticipate issues, and significantly contribute to energy efficiency.

In addition, this year Diego Galar will be a speaker at the Conference, and on 29 May he will talk about “trends in servitization and approaches focussed on services for the product”.
