International robotics competition: EuROBIN
The city of Nancy, France, is hosting the first euROBI Competition, an event that will take place after Humanoids 2024, the IEEE-RAS International Conference on Humanoid Robots
- The euROBIN Competition is not just a competition, it is a platform for collaborative innovation.
- Teams will not only demonstrate their individual skills, but will also be rewarded for their ability to successfully integrate the modules developed by other participants, thus fostering a cooperative and collaborative working environment.
- euROBIN promotes modularity, reusability and transferability in robotic systems by driving the development of robotics and artificial intelligence in key areas such as robotic manufacturing, personal robotics and outdoor robotics to create more sustainable communities.
TECNALIA’s participation
TECNALIA will present its Kawada Nextage Robot. It is a humanoid robot with a 6DoF head, torso and two arms, resulting in 15 DoF in total.
- Nextage is designed to work in collaboration with humans on production lines, performing handling tasks in flexible manufacturing environments.
- The robot has two built-in vision cameras and two cameras on each wrist.
- TECNALIA colleagues Andrés Montaño, Francisco Blanco and Jon Agirre will present the Kawada Nextage Robot in this International Robotics Challenge.
