Urban territories need innovation to develop initiatives that ensure job creation, economic development and quality of life for their inhabitants
The Bilbao Metropoli-30 Association is organising the 4th edition of the International Seminar. Metropolis of the Future. This edition will highlight the importance of sustainable human development; the work carried out in the Basque Country to date will be presented. Other international examples that raise awareness and offer good practices in their SDG implementation journey will also participate.
Topics to be addressed
The programme begins with a high-level institutional opening. The seminar will be presented by the First Minister of Wales, Mark Drakeford, preceded by the Secretary General for External Action in the Basque Government, María Ángeles Elorza.
This will be followed by three discussion sessions on:
- The future of inclusive communities
- Urban spaces facing the challenges of sustainability
- Urban planning for inhabitable metropolises.
Patricia Molina, Director of City, Territory and Environment at TECNALIA, will take part in the session "Urban planning for inhabitable metropolises".
