Additive manufacturing technologies allow to manufacture parts of all types of materials, shapes and sizes. For metal components, there is a wide variety of technologies with different capacities and characteristics in terms of the materials that can be processed, the complexity of the geometries, dimensional limitations, manufacturing costs, etc.
The webinar will explain the basic concepts on which metal additive manufacturing techniques are based, such as the "powder bed" or "direct energy deposition" as well as the basic principles of the most important technologies. Some criteria for the selection of technologies will be exposed and other particularities such as economic aspects and adoption drivers will be analysed.
