OBJECTIVE
A technical and policy consultation workshop aimed at manufacturers and distributors of telecommunications equipment, in response to the questions raised by the new EMC and RED Directives coming into force.
The new European Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU came into force on the 13th of June 2016 and compliance is mandatory from the 13th of June 2017. This Directive repeals the Radio equipment and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive (1999/5/EC). The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) 2014/30/EU Directive regulates the marketing of non-radio telecommunication equipment, among others. The workshop aims to disseminate the new Directives, their scope of application, the differences with the previous directive and the opportunities for compliance.
In addition, the measures that the Secretariat of State for the Information Society and the Digital Agenda will take to correctly apply the Directives will be discussed, as well as the role of market inspection and supervision.
If you wonder: What changes in the directives are applicable to telecommunication products? How will they affect my product? How will these changes be resolved in Europe? What are the benefits of the new directives? What products are affected by it?
Then come to this workshop to resolve these questions and other issues in order to lay the foundations for the opportunities offered by understanding the new European Telecommunication Directives.
ADDRESSED TO
- Telecommunications equipment manufacturers.
- Manufacturing associations.
