The huge importance of the issues of Construction Pathology, Rehabilitation Technology and Heritage Management for the Construction world has prompted the organisers to address this forum which sets out to showcase the advances made over the past two years in theoretical knowledge and practical experiences carried out in these areas.
This Congress is organised by 14 entities from 9 European and American countries, and is led by the University of Cantabria, through its Building Technology Group (GTED-UC) and the University of Extremadura.

The convening power of the Congress has been excellent in the previous 6 editions, bringing together many of the Spanish and international experts in the aforementioned issues. As a reference, 315 speakers were selected from the total number of papers submitted to the 2016 edition (over 500) from 33 countries worldwide, particularly from the Euro-American area.
The official languages of the conference will be: English, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
The Congress will be held in the incomparable setting of the San Francisco el Real Monastery in the city of Caceres, whose old town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986, as it is one of the world's most complete urban ensembles from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
