Scottish Power Renewables, Iberdrola, in conjunction with TECNALIA and UPV/EHU, and with the support of the Professional Association of Chemists and the Energy Cluster are organising the 2nd edition of the offshore renewable industry’s technical conferences
This is a practical conference in which the key players in the sector involved in the development and operation and maintenance of wind farms will show and discuss the main innovations to improve the efficiency of wind farms and reduce operation and maintenance (O&M) costs.
- Anti-corrosion protection is key to the durability of offshore wind farm structures. It will be one of the central issues to be addressed in the sessions, due to the extreme conditions to which they are exposed.
- Ensuring the durability of components is critical to the long-term viability of such projects.
- Anti-corrosion protection represents one of the greatest opportunities to optimise the performance of offshore wind farms. This is a key aspect that contributes directly to the reliability and efficiency of these installations, which are essential for the transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy.
On 18th and 19th November, companies such as LUMIKER, NAVACEL, Euskalforging or AkzoNobel will present their success stories at the Faculty of Science and Technology at the UPV in Leioa.
This collaborative meeting between industry, university and the Basque network of technology and innovation centres aims to serve as a meeting point for professionals from the offshore industry and its value chain, as well as being a bridge between the market and the university for all final-year students.
