The InnoWEE Project has developed innovative materials from construction and demolition waste (CDW) for the manufacture of technologies that increase the energy efficiency of buildings.
It is a bilateral approach as use of a recycled product also addresses the reduction of energy demand in the construction sector. The talk will include the project's main achievements.
- Obtaining raw materials from CDW: concrete, brick, glass and wood.
- Manufacture of technologies for the insulation of façades (EIFS and ventilated cladding) and radiant systems.
- Building energy simulation (BEM): assessment of InnoWEE innovative products applied to renovation.
- High thermal performance and low environmental impact empirical results.
- A competitive manufacturing and installation process.
- New profitable and sustainable business opportunity.
- Practical videos of the production chain of these geopolymer panels will be presented, showing the feasibility of products based in the circular economy.
