Event on Emerging Technologies for Intelligence Services and State Law Enforcement
Scientific technology advances give the Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) new capabilities as the development of new technology fosters new types of crimes in the digital age.
As crime in general, and cybercrime in particular, become increasingly sophisticated with the emergence of new tools such as mobile devices, artificial intelligence, machine learning, social media, drones, robots, GIS, etc., a complex combination of both technological and social measures is required, including prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution. In order to offer an effective solution to this problem, a continuous synergy and innovation in various scientific fields is required, as well as their implementation in the day-to-day work of LEAs.
