For yet another year, TECNALIA is participating in the European Utility Week 2019 (EUW). It is considered the most important Smart Grids event in Europe and brings together suppliers from electrical companies and other utilities.

The EUW is a meeting point for professionals and a knowledge exchange forum for the latest applications related to smart grids.

This fair began more than a decade ago, originally devoted to smart meters and under the name of Metering & Billing Europe. It is now open to other fields, bringing together agents from the electrical distribution sector.

In this edition, we will display our latest breakthroughs in relation to the certification of products to ensure the interoperability and the development of solutions for grid digitalisation.

As the official laboratory of the leading alliances of smart meters, we will present:

  • New PRIME 1.4 Testing Tool
  • New certification services for IEC 61850, for protocol certification and equipment and unit functionality compliance assessment.
  • DLMS Functionality Testing Tool with new applications for countries such as Saudi Arabia, Lebanon or UK.
  • NOISEEK App: advanced web application for the monitoring and analysis of electrical noises in PLC communications. Thanks to it, electrical companies can quickly and objectively decide on the best PLC band to use in their network and reduce the time required to resolve problems in PLC communications, from days to minutes.

You can find out about our projects related to:

  • Integration in the distributed generation grid, storage and electric vehicles.
  • Micro-networks for off-grid and connected applications.
  • Characterisation and dimensioning of storage systems for different use scenarios and cases.
  • Monitoring and supervision of the MV and LV networks.
  • Data analytics for grid operation and management.
  • Communications, data models and protocols for Smart Grids.
  • Cybersecurity
  • Active demand management.

We look forward to seeing you at the EUW in Paris! Come and visit us at Stand C43.
