ASEFAVE organises a conference on façades and their safety in the event of a fire
In view of the most recent fires in high-rise buildings, the ASEFAVE association is organising this forum between associated and non-associated companies to reach a consensus on technical proposals to make to the government, both in terms of revising the current Basic Fire Safety Document (BFSD) for new buildings, and to provide greater safety in existing buildings.
Basic safety requirements in the event of fire
Xabier Olano, head of TECNALIA's Fire Safety Laboratory , will open the event with a presentation entitled: “Update and possible improvements to BFSD2; external propagation through façades”.
- It will also look at possible actions to improve the fire safety of existing façades, and the importance of checks during the construction of façades.
- This will be followed by a debate between the participants: they will provide input as the people who actually end up building the façades and who know the loopholes in the projects and ambiguities in the regulations.

- At the end of the event, there will be an aperitif for the attendees in the same place.
