DIH-HERO is an independent platform which connects Digital Innovation Hubs across Europe to create a support network for all those who are active in the healthcare robotics sector. The project consortium consists of 17 core partners spread across 11 pan-European countries.
First DIH-HERO Knowledge Conference
By sharing the knowledge of experts we will give an insight view on key topics in healthcare robotics. Several sessions over two days will cover matters related to standards and regulations, state-of-the-art technologies, providers and users, funding and success stories. There will be interesting presentations of key players in medical robotics and medical care and also a platform for matchmaking and discussions.
TECNALIA at the conference: Thursday, 20 May.
- Head of Neurorehabilitation Dr Thierry Keller will lead the session called “Certification & Standards”. The session will discuss safety and protection standards for healthcare robotics, preliminary results of a study on gaps and inconsistencies in standards for personal care and rehabilitation robots, and new features in rehabilitation robotics standardisation.
- Dr Thierry Keller and Dr Anthony Remazeilles, Medical Robotics Researcher at TECNALIA, will also talk about the activities that members and partners of DIH-HERO are currently carrying out regarding hardware and software in healthcare robotics, and standardisation and best practices.
- Finally, the panellists will discuss with attendees the experiences and needs of industrial standards, best practices and certification. The conclusions will be taken into account in future work carried out by DIH-HERO.
