Funding opportunities for interregional collaboration on innovation
Interregional Innovation Investment (I3) Instrument
Valentina Pinna, from EISMEA, will present the Interregional Innovation Investment (I3) Instrument, which is part of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The aim of this instrument is to promote innovation through smart specialisation and interregional collaboration.
In particular, special attention will be given to Strand 1 of the I3 instrument, which provides financial support and advice on investments in interregional innovation projects.
DEREMCO Project
- TECNALIA’s Sonia García will present the DEREMCO project, an I3 Instrument success story.
- In addition, META Group will discuss the upcoming first call for cascade funding of the DEREMCO project, which will finance circular economy demonstration projects for composite materials and components.
- Similarly, Aitor Mintegui from the Delegation of the Basque Country to the EU will present the “Vanguard Initiative” European network of industrialised regions and the European Commission's Smart Specialisation Thematic Platforms.
- Finally, there will be a presentation on the support services provided by Enterprise Europe Network to Basque companies to internationalise their R+D+i.

- The webinar is aimed at people from companies and business associations, clusters, consultancies, etc., with managerial or technical responsibilities for R&D&I, and RVCTI agents.
