The movement Health 2.0 Basque brings together all the agents from the area of digital health in the Basque Country, from both private and public sectors, to share the latests advances in health technology and learn about emerging projects from the local entrepreneurial network.
Presentation of the Chronic Pain innovative project
- One of the eight chosen projects is CHRONIC PAIN, which will be presented by Igone Idigoras, TECNALIA Neuroengineering Project Manager. Her speech titled “Electrical Quantitative Sensory Assessment (EQSA) for patients with chronic lumbar pain” will present a new technology based on electrical stimulation to carry out a sensory assessment: identifying dysfunctions of the peripheral nervous system.
- The congress will focus on the present and future of the area of pain management, considering both professionals and patients who suffer one of the worst scourges of humanity: chronic pain.

Chronic Pain, Electrical Quantitative Sensory Assessment System for Failed Back Surgery Syndrome is an innovation project funded by the European Union’s EIT Health initiative.
This initiative is a collaboration between Medtronic Ibérica, the Madrid Health Service (SERMAS) through the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital, FESIA Technology, and TECNALIA Ventures.
