TECNALIA promotes innovation ecosystems in health
On 18 and 19 October at the BIC Bizkaia Ezkerraldea in Barakaldo (Bizkaia), Fenin – through its Healthcare Technology Innovation Platform – is organising a new edition of the “Innovation in Health Matchmaking: Smart Medical Devices and Robotics” Forum.
An event in collaboration with TECNALIA, the Basque Health Cluster and the Spanish Society for Surgical Research (SEIQ).
This two-day event will promote open innovation ecosystems aimed at developing new “Smart Medical Device & Robotics” solutions, promoting synergies between different stakeholders – such as public institutions, startups, R&D&I groups, industry and technological and clinical centres – which result in a high-value business fabric, talent generation and retention and the consolidation of the Basque Country as a technological pole of reference at a national level.
The event includes a range of talks, and surgical professionals will present the challenges and needs of the healthcare system. They will in turn receive a response from industry and clinical and technological research centres, with the aim of creating mixed public-private cooperation projects.
There will also be a space for networking and one-to-one meetings between startups and companies associated with Fenin from all over Spain and potential funders of their projects.
This event will be attended by Estíbaliz Hernáez, Deputy Minister for Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Basque Government, and José Luis Quintas, Deputy Minister for Health.
