In this workshop, a set of policy recommendations on how to integrate Disaster Risk Management and Adaptation to Climate Change into Territorial Planning will be presented.
These suggestions are based on the results of the research into the territorial distribution of some natural disasters: river flooding, storms, droughts and earthquakes, their economic impact and the evaluation of the territorial vulnerability.
A thorough analysis of existing disaster risk management and adaptation to climate change measures in eight regional case studies, which have contributed to shaping the aforementioned recommendations, has been carried out.
