The Entrepreneurs’ Club by TECNALIA Ventures will present the case Wavegarden: pioneering start-up in the creation of dynamic artificial waves at the next Pitch&Pintxo gathering.
Until now, considered by the leading investors from the emerging market of wave generation technologies, it has a portfolio of over 20 facilities in different stages of implementation across the five continents.
Wavegarden dates back more than 10 years:
- In 2005, the first artificial wave prototypes were created to practise surfing.
- In 2010, the top professional surfers tested the first wave, which until then could not be surfed.
During the conference, the Executive Director of the start-up, Igor Barandiarán will explain how he and his team of entrepreneurs have managed to move the project forward considering that an investment of around eight million euros is required in order for the Wavegarden technology to function perfectly.
Discover these artificial waves with an entrepreneurial flavour, and their entrepreneurial history.
