At the next Pitch&Pintxo gathering, the Entrepreneurs’ Club of TECNALIA Ventures will present the case of Zeleros: a Spanish start-up that is developing a faster, scalable and more efficient transport system inspired by Hyperloop.

Zeleros is made up of a team of more than 40 experts (engineers, researchers and business developers), over 60 collaborators worldwide, various prototypes currently in operation, and a number of key patents that are in progress.

It is proposing a unique vehicle technology:

  • It reduces infrastructure costs (construction, operation and maintenance).
  • It makes it possible to operate at safer pressures for passengers.
  • Its objective is to develop, manufacture and sell Hyperloop vehicles.
  • They are currently developing the full technology and collaborating with other key players to build and operate the lines.
  • Its next step will be to build a single two-kilometre test track to validate and optimise technologies in full-scale trials.

During the session, David Pistoni, CEO and Co-Founder of Zeleros, will present the story of this European start-up based in Spain.

About David Pistoni

He is an industrial engineer who graduated from the UPV (Valencia) and KTH (Stockholm). He began his entrepreneurial path at the University, as a co-founder of two projects that are still in operation: Makers UPV (2013) and Hyperloop UPV (2015).

After winning several international awards for these initiatives (from NASA and SpaceX), he decided to take the plunge with the company together with his colleagues and current partners, creating Zeleros Hyperloop. He recently received the European Institute of Innovation and Technology award as one of the five outstanding innovators in 2019.

About Zeleros

Zeleros Hyperloop is a Spanish company that is developing hyperloop, now considered to be “the fifth means of transport”. Its differential approach makes it possible to reduce infrastructure costs and ensure safer pressures for passengers. It has a large amount of private and public support, involving more than 100 people, making it one of the leaders at a European and global level.

Zeleros is currently preparing to build its own two-kilometre test track to test the high-speed system.
