On 17 October Beata María Ana Hospital will host a seminar to monographically cover different aspects in the rehabilitation of the hemiplegia of the upper limb.

The Menni Network organises this scientific meeting with the aim of reviewing the fundamentals and effectiveness of the rehabilitation of hands, arms and shoulders with physical damages derived from brain injuries.

Thierry Keller, Director of the Neurorehabilitation area of TECNALIA, will offer a talk with the title ‘Neuro-prosthesis of the upper limb’. When brain damage occurs due to a stroke, many affected people suffer movement problems in the right or left side of their body. These consequences are particularly observed in the difficulty to walk, problems in the upper limb affected by hemiparesis (loss of strength and dexterity) and/or hemiplegia (paralysis).

AIMED AT

Mainly occupational therapists, medical professionals specialists in neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, etc.
