Robotics and healthcare experts, top academics, researchers and healthcare professionals are gathering at this meeting
The aim is to present, discuss and network around innovations in robotics in healthcare. Attendees will be able to take part in various workshops on topics such as standards, reimbursement opportunities for robotic technologies in Europe, and challenges for the deployment activities of these technologies in clinical settings.
- The results of several projects funded by the DIH-HERO network will be presented.
- It will provide an insight into the future opportunities offered by this network.
- This is a hybrid conference: it will be possible to attend in person or on-line.
Talks by leading researchers
The conference will be attended by renowned experts and specialists in this field. Some of the featured speakers include TECNALIA colleagues Ainara Garzo and Michael Obach: they will give a presentation entitled “Standards and Best Practice for Certification”.
- This session aims to share the knowledge gained in DIH-HERO and its network on standards and regulations that are relevant to health robotics innovators, and best practice for software development in this field.
- Topics will include the latest updates on the “Medical Device Regulation (MDR)”, new deadlines, the current status of harmonised standards for medical devices, guidelines for robotic technologies, including the latest draft of the machine products regulation, and artificial intelligence as a disruptive technology applicable to medical software.
- A summary of the work carried out on standards and certification over four and a half years of the DIH-HERO project will be given.
