Sensory feedback technologies for eXtended reality add rich and meaningful tactile information into novel interaction systems for the interaction in virtual environments. By mimicking the characteristics of the natural tactile feedback, it aims at substantially increase the quality of the immersive Virtual Reality (VR) experience used locally or remotely (tele-manipulation).
* The webinar will be delivered in English.
SPEAKERS
- Dr. Thierry Keller – Head of the Neurorehabilitation Department at TECNALIA.
- Dr. Matija Strbac – Director of TECNALIA Serbia LTD.
CONTENT
- In this webinar TECNALIA will introduce you into the world of tactile feedback by means of a multi-channel electrical stimulation technology. Throughout the last 8 years we have investigated in a number of multinational projects the best ways to achieve selective sensory stimulation that can be used to provide user feedback.
- The use of this type of feedback has opened the way to investigate the use of this feedback modality in more general applications like eXtended reality.
- We hope you will find possible interesting use cases in your field of activity that could benefit from feedback augmentation as we propose and explain in the webinar.
AIMED AT FOR:
- developers and companies in VR/AR/MR
- developers and companies in Myoelectric prosthesis
- developers and companies in tele robotics and haptics
- developers and companies in wearable health monitors
For all interested in novel feedback technologies
