This Technology Forum, organised by the Basque Energy Cluster Association, is dedicated to the technologies developed within the field of stationary storage in the energy sector to be applied to specific segments such as electricity grids, electric mobility and behind-the-meter systems, among others.
Presentation
- TECNALIA employee Raúl Rodríguez will present “Including storage in electricity grids, from simulation to power electronics”.
Storage will play a key role as the facilitating technology to boost decarbonisation and energy transition, as it introduces massive renewable generation into the energy mix.
The high variability and complex management of renewable resources require the system to be more flexible which can be achieved by introducing storage systems. This will bring about interesting market opportunities in the various value chains.
Programme
- The event will present a series of applications for stationary storage technologies from companies such as CEGASA, IBIL, or i-DE (Iberdrola distribución eléctrica brand).

- The Technology Forums are defined in the Basque Energy Cluster 2022 Strategic Plan as one of the key mechanisms for sectorial dynamisation, and they stand out as a place for the technological offer (centres, universities, technology-based companies) to meet companies or users interested in this offer.
- Setting up and implementation of the Technology Forums are supported by the Department for Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government through the Elkartek 2020 programme.
