In the modern workplace, employees are working with increasing flexibility, and as a consequence, are more dynamic: from home, in a conference room, in the office or while travelling. By doing so, the working activity ceases to be dependent on a specific PC, time and space.
New tools and technologies are needed to allow the employees to work in more innovative ways, creating opportunities for collaboration and productivity.
One of these technologies is Microsoft Teams. This tool, included in the Microsoft 365 platform, offers a range of possibilities regarding communication and collaborative work.
Last March marked three years since the launch of Teams and the current usage data are breaking records. The Covid-19 crisis has meant a significant increase in the usage figures of Teams:
- 1 October 2019: 20 million active users a month
- 11 March 2020: 32 million active users a month
- 18 March 2020: 44 million active users a month (specifically in one week)
HSI will present in this Webinar TECNALIA’s success story. TECNALIA was founded in 2010 as a result of the merger of eight independent technology centres. In terms of systems, this generated the challenge of integrating eight different infrastructures based on very heterogeneous technology and processes.
Once the integration of the different merger systems was achieved, a digital platform was set up to promote collaboration both between its own staff and external collaborators.
