We foster the training of young researchers through the CoMPaSS-NMD project.
Contributing to the training and scientific exchange between young researchers is the objective of the Young Investigator Training (YIT) initiative, launched by the CoMPaSS-NMD (Computational Models for new Patient Stratification Strategies of Neuro Muscular Disorders) project consortium in which TECNALIA participates.
Young Investigator Training (YIT) seeks to develop computational approaches that foster advanced patient stratification procedures that are required for diagnosis and trial preparation.
- The idea is to ensure high-quality clinical assessments by qualified clinicians.
- Attract and bring together young researchers in the field of NMD.
- By training them in an innovative, multi-modal and multi-disciplinary approach (encompassing clinical practice, bioinformatics, imaging, histology, genetics, data mining and outreach), they will be able to address the needs of a new generation of NMD (neuromuscular diseases) patients.
First Session: 25th June
This initiative kicks off on 25th June with an introductory first part: "CoMPass-NMD: Filling the gaps in hereditary muscular diseases".
- Aimed at clinical interns and residents with an interest in NMDs.
- Programme: coming soon
- Organised by: Fondazione Stella Maris, Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia

There will be a series of several webinars
- The YIT webinar series will provide attendees with the latest techniques to dramatically improve their efficiency in the clinical assessment of patients and data collection.
- See the full programme: "Young Investigator Training” for neuromuscular disorders.
- A certificate of successful participation will be awarded at the end of the tutoring session demonstrating successful completion of an eCRF (electronic clinical electronic forms) exam. This certificate will prioritise participants attending the Autumn School organised within the framework of the YIT.
- The YIT series offers a programme of webinars scheduled between July 2024 and April 2026.
