Acustrain is one of the companies in which TECNALIA has a stake, managed by its Deep Tech Venture Builder TECNALIA Ventures, which emerged in 2020 with the objective of designing, manufacturing and installing acoustic barriers, based on concrete and absorbent materials, to reduce the noise caused by railways in urban environments.
The start-up seeks to address the problems arising from the high noise levels produced by railways in urban environments. With the incorporation of Méntrida, this is expected to be fulfilled.

Javier Méntrida, the new CEO of Acustrain, is a Senior Industrial Engineer and Graduate in Business Administration. He has extensive experience in the industrial, commercial and financial fields. He has developed his professional career internationally in multinational companies holding management and general management positions, in which he has had the opportunity to contribute to the creation and management of start-ups.
