Our mechanical testing laboratory is collaborating with ORONA in the validation of its securing devices

4 March 2019

We have designed a test to evaluate the fatigue of the lift cable securing devices

The TECNALIA Mechanical Testing Laboratory, along with ORONA, has designed a test to evaluate the fatigue of its lift suspension cable securing devices. This laboratory evaluates the mechanical performance and useful life of materials, products and systems through tests.

TECNALIA has verified the useful life of different types of securing devices, simulating real operating situations, such as lifting loads, bearing in mind their direction throughout the route of the lift. We have a structural safety laboratory in which a multi-disciplinary, experienced team analyses and evaluates the mechanical performance and useful life of products and systems through simulation, testing and calculation tools.

The knowledge of our experts in the field of materials, their properties and deterioration and fault mechanisms enables us to offer our services to industrial services concerning material selection, fault analysis, lifetime prediction or tolerance to damage in different fields (mechanical, corrosion, friction, high temperature, etc.).

ORONA, a company whose activity focuses on the design, manufacture, installation, maintenance and modernisation of mobility solutions, such as lifts, escalators, ramps and travelators, has entrusted us with the fatigue evaluation and validation of its lift suspension cable securing devices.
