AENOR certifies the health and safety management system at TECNALIA's electrical laboratories
- The scope of this new certification covers the performance of High Voltage, Low Voltage and Power electrical tests at the InGRID laboratories, one of the leading European facilities for the research and evaluation of smart grids, as well as the High Voltage electrical tests performed in the field through TECNALIA's mobile electrical testing laboratory.

Bilbao, 24th October 2022. TECNALIA has obtained ISO 45001:2018 "Occupational health and safety management systems" certification for its electrical laboratories, awarded by AENOR, which accredits that the research and technological development centre meets the requirements for an optimal occupational health and safety management system. The certificate was presented last Friday to Jesús Valero, Managing Director of TECNALIA, by Gonzalo San Antonio, Director of AENOR in the Basque Country.
The aim of this international standard is to guarantee the health and safety of both workers and visitors and this certification demonstrates TECNALIA's firm commitment to incorporating the best national and international practices in the field of occupational safety.
Its scope covers the performance of High Voltage, Low Voltage and Power electrical tests at the InGRID laboratories, one of the leading European facilities for the research and evaluation of smart grids, which are located in Building 413 on the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park, as well as the High Voltage electrical tests performed in the field through TECNALIA's mobile electrical testing laboratory.
ISO 45001 acts as a framework for safe and healthy workplaces, eliminating hazards, minimising risks, implementing effective preventive measures, exploiting opportunities and improving performance.
