TECNALIA brings together innovation and excellence in testing for the electricity sector at the Middle East Energy (MEE) trade fair in Dubai

The TECNALIA research and technological development centre will attend the Dubai 2025 Middle East Energy (MEE) Fair, where it will bring together the innovation and excellence of its cutting-edge electrical laboratories: TECNALIA Electrical Labs. This international event, which will be celebrating its 49th edition, is a key event for the energy sector in the Middle East, and every year it brings together manufacturers, electricity companies and professionals from the sector from all over the world.
This year, Middle East Energy (MEE), which will be held between April 7 and 9, will focus on the importance of renewable energy, energy storage and digitalisation with the aim of optimising the region’s energy ecosystem and ensuring self-sufficiency. The Fair will cover all areas of the energy sector: transmission and distribution, electrical power generation, energy storage, renewable energies and energy consumption and management.
The technology centre can be found in Hall 2 Stand F21, where its electrical equipment laboratories will offer consultancy, testing and certification services for the electrical sector. TECNALIA has taken part in this event for more than a decade, and this has allowed it to build up its relationships with local electrical equipment manufacturers and consolidate its position as a leading laboratory in the Middle East, in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Oman. TECNALIA is renowned throughout Europe and has obtained the approval of some of the most important electricity companies in Middle Eastern countries, such as TAQA (ADWEA/ADDC), DEWA and SEWA in the United Arab Emirates, DCRP in Oman and SEC in Saudi Arabia.
The research and technological development centre is able to validate the design of electrical equipment such as distribution transformers, instrument transformers, cables and accessories, low and medium voltage switchgear, transformer centres, insulators and bushings, inverters and power converters, smart meters, among others, all under ILAC accreditation in accordance with ISO 17025. It is part of the manufacturer's product development process, and provides the means, capabilities and expertise required to define and carry out design validation tests on prototypes and end products. It also provides on-site testing focused on commissioning high-voltage cables, diagnostics for large generators installed in power plants and power transformers, as well as technical consultancy services.
The network of alliances with internationally recognised product certifiers such as INTERTEK, UL and ASEFA allows TECNALIA to extend its offer to high value product certification services in the market.
