In this workshop, a set of technological processes will be presented for the procurement of products through microalgae cultivation. Based on a circular economy scheme, the waste generated during some stages is used as input and resources during other phases of the production process.

Thus, through the application of a biorefinery model the integral use of the biomass and diversification to obtain value-added products for different industrial sectors, such as the chemical, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, energy and agricultural industries, is pursued.

The conference will be held on the premises of the FICOBA - International Basque Coast Trade Show, coinciding with the BIOTERRA 2018 exhibition of ecological products, green building, renewable energy and responsible consumption.
