Quantum technologies have the capacity to solve this decade’s most complex problems.
The formidable scientific and technological boost to quantum technologies in recent years is bringing significant advances. These exponential advances and their disruptive character make this field of knowledge a focus of unique interest for industry. The level of computational sophistication and complexity of our society’s orchestration and optimisation systems is increasing and becoming more difficult to deal with compare to purely classical computing approaches.
Quantum computing is the technology for supremacy in artificial intelligence, optimisation and cybersecurity. When all the capabilities of this technology are fully deployed, in about five years' time, the rules of the game will completely change.
Organisations need to develop a combination of complex and unique talent to create applications with impact. As we have seen with other conventional technologies, such as AI, sustained training and consolidation is needed.
Competitiveness, social responsibility and respect for the environment
Our value proposition is geared, on the one hand, to preparing the industry to evolve in a sustainable way with respect to its quantum capabilities and, on the other, to accelerate the deployment of applications with quantum technologies, prioritising impact and helping to minimise risk.
#CybHERTalk webinar organised by Women4Cyber Spain
In the #CybHERTalk webinar, we will talk to Dr. Esther Villar Rodríguez, Scientific Manager of NEXT-Quantum Technologies. She is an expert in artificial intelligence models, superficial learning and deep machine learning, privacy-conscious distributed learning strategies, including federated learning and enhanced learning. She is the author of several contributions to conferences and journal articles related to these research areas.
- Esther will talk about quantum technologies and their applications withAna Isabel Ayerbe Fernández-Cuesta, Director of CORES at TECNALIA. Ana is a member of the Board of Directors and the European Council of WOMEN4CYBER, a member of the Board of Directors of the ECSO European Cybersecurity Platform , to which she has actively contributed to the definition of its Strategic Research Agenda, among others, and member of the Permanent Committee of the BCSC (Basque Cybersecurity Centre). She is also a member of the Management Committee of RENIC (Spanish Network of Centres of Excellence in Cybersecurity Research). She regularly collaborates with the European Commission and the State Research Agency as a proposal evaluator and project reviewer, having been a member of the "Advisory Group on Secure Societies" in H2020, and recently participated in the Committee of Experts for the Development of the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2019.
