At the next Pitch&Pintxo gathering, the Entrepreneurs’ Club by TECNALIA Ventures will present the Fesia case: the start-up that launched a crowdfunding round to improve the life quality of stroke patients.
Fesia, a start-up devoted to the development and commercialisation of functional electrical stimulation devices was set up in 2016 with the aim of improving the life of patients suffering from neuromuscular disorders in all stages of their rehabilitation process. Using some medical devices based on a new electrical stimulation technology, which consist of an electrode pad, they improve muscular selectivity and reduce the patient's muscular fatigue.
This start-up came about as a result of a technological asset managed in TECNALIA. TECNALIA Ventures turned it into a company ready for investment, whereby it played the role of venture builder, which was key for its valuation.
Last June, Fesia launched a round for investment of 800,000 Euros through the Capital Cell crowdfunding platform to finance the launch of its first two products and hence become a reference in functional electrical stimulation. In October, 97% of the 800,000 Euros had been raised, enabling the company to focus on the development of its first two products and concentrate on the commercial action.
During the event, the CTO and co-founder of Fesia, Haritz Zabaleta will explain how this group of entrepreneurs has managed to move forward with the project.
Don't miss the opportunity to find out all about this start-up.
