2 October 2020

Tests were carried out on transformers from five different manufacturers

BELA, Basque Electrical Laboratories Alliance, of which TECNALIA is a founder member, was awarded the contract to carry out qualification tests on distribution transformers for the Kingdom of Morocco.

Short-circuit tests were performed at TECNALIA's electrical laboratories on oil-immersed distribution transformers with power of 400 kVA and a transformation ratio of 22/0.4 kV, in accordance with international standard IEC 60076. Five units from the country's leading manufacturers were tested.

These tests were contracted by the Public Laboratory for Tests and Studies (LPEE) in Casablanca. LPEE is a public company whose scope covers the complete life cycle of civil engineering works and associated products, including design, studies, tests, monitoring, technical support and consultancy.
