"Infrastructures and tools make it easier for organisations to effectively manage and exploit their data"
Innovating in data spaces to enhance security, artificial intelligence, systems architecture and modelling
The fourth edition of eSAAM, Eclipse Conference on Security, Artificial Intelligence, Architecture and Modelling in DATA SPACES was held in Mainz, Germany, from 22nd to 24th October. The event brought together experts in security, artificial intelligence, systems architecture and modelling to address the developments and challenges of data spaces.
This concept seeks to create secure environments where organisations can share and access data, fostering collaboration and reuse of data.
Data spaces provide a framework for the interoperability and data sovereignty, which are fundamental for data exchange. However, challenges are still faced in governance and privacy preservation techniques, which are key aspects to be taken into account.
Developments in ETL processes
Our colleague Gorka Zarate, researcher and expert in Information Technologies, participated as a speaker at eSAAM 2024, the fourth Eclipse conference.
Gorka presented the paper entitled "Evolution of Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes towards data product pipelines". In his presentation, he highlighted the growing importance of data as a key asset.
He also highlighted how its use is promoting the development of infrastructures and tools that enable organisations to effectively manage and exploit their data.
