The construction sector meets to promote sustainable certification in buildings and infrastructures

Analysing future opportunities for sustainability in the Basque Country

In Derio, on 23 January, TECNALIA will bring together the Basque construction sector to analyse the different points of view on the sustainable certification schemes existing in the market. In addition, they will discuss their importance in sustainable construction.

During the event, the collaboration agreement signed between TECNALIA and Cerway for the development of the HQE (High Quality Environmental) scheme that belongs to the Alliance HQE-GBC France in Spanish territory will be presented. Aclima Basque Environment Cluster, Ihobe and Visesa will also show us their vision about the future of sustainable certification schemes.

To find out about some of the different certification schemes, Luis Cabrera, Head of Energy & Sustainability of the CBRe will talk about the WELL certification scheme. Furthermore, Alfredo Bengoa, Technical Manager of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council Planning and Projects Service (Architecture) will share the experience of the Europa Conference Centre in Vitoria-Gasteiz with the LEED and Passivhaus certification schemes.

A meeting point to promote sustainable certification, focused on buildings and infrastructures, and designed specifically for the construction sector in the Basque Country.
