The laboratory has metal powder technologies for non-fusion additive manufacturing for high precision metal, intermetallic, cermet and advanced ceramic components.
The laboratory also includes capabilities for the preliminary powder (raw material) processing and post-processing stages: debinding, sintering and thermal treatments.
Description
The additive manufacturing technologies included in the laboratory are binder jetting and metal/ceramic FDM, for which it has the following equipment:
- Binder jetting equipment with capacity for parts with a maximum volume of 160 x 65 x 65 mm, deposition rates of 30 s/layer, layer thickness of 100 microns, X/Y/Z resolution between 60 and 100 microns and accuracies of +/-0.5%.
- Modified FDM equipment.
- Mixing, grinding and powder processing equipment.
- Spray granulator.
- Removal and sintering furnace up to 2,200 ºC in various atmospheres (vacuum, N2, H2, …).
Aimed at:
- Manufacturers of products and components in powder metallurgy and MIM.
