New public procurement approach and processes for “zero-energy buildings”
On the 17th of October, TECNALIA and the remaining consortium members of the PAPIRUS project (ATC Torino, Landratsamt Enzkreis, Sestao Berri 2010 S.A., Oslo Kommune and ASM) hope to receive one of the PROCURA+ AWARDS in one of the following three categories: Sustainable Procurement of the Year, Innovation Procurement of the Year and Tender Procedure of the Year.
This nomination recognises the work done on Promoting European Public Procurement of Innovation in the field of Sustainable Buildings.
The objective of this project is to empower Public Procurement of Innovation within a Sustainable Construction market. To do this a new public tender process has been developed and implemented for the coordinated procurement of innovative solutions in the field of energy efficiency in buildings, with the aim of producing economies of scale and generating market demand.
The innovative solutions procured by public entities have contributed to the reduction in energy consumption in buildings in countries where they have been validated like Norway, Germany, Italy and Spain.
PROCURA+ will announce the award winners on the 17th of October in Tallinn (Estonia), at the awards ceremony for what will be the third most important eafip event related to procuring innovation.
