ICAE 2018 call for speakers closes successfully

The call for speakers for the 8th International Congress on Architectural Envelopes (ICAE 2018) has been highly successful as it received over 70 potential abstracts, of which almost half were by European authors. The Technical Committee assessed these abstracts and selected 57 of them for the talks on the first day of the congress.

On the first day there will also be specific sessions on European projects connected to envelopes, addressing various topics like new materials, the use of robots to install façades, and energy efficiency. At the same time, the FAECF (Federation of the European Window and Curtain Wall Manufacturers Associations) will also take part on this first day with a specific session to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Many of the most important companies in the field of architectural envelopes will be at the international conference, where they will be able to showcase their products and services and turn the event into the ideal place to do business and consolidate the presence of participating companies in the local market.

The congress organised by TECNALIA will take place from 20-22 June at Kursaal Congress Centre in San Sebastian, in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Curtain Walling and Window Manufacturers (ASEFAVE) and the European Façade Network.
