INCIBE launches Ciberemprende 2019: with up to €36,000 in awards

Ciberemprende is an initiative of the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) for people with an entrepreneurial drive. It aims to attract and promote innovative talent in the field of cyber-security by holding a contest for ideas and “seedling” projects, which could serve to develop their business projects.

The Programme seeks people with an entrepreneurial spirit in the field of cyber-security coming from universities or other training centres, research institutions, technological centres, companies or any person with an innovative idea who needs support to develop their future entrepreneurial project.

The 10 best ideas will receive a financial subsidy of 1,800 euros per project. The programme will finish with a Demo Day in which the best three ideas or projects will be awarded:

• 1st prize: €8,000.
• 2nd prize: €6,000.
• 3rd prize: €4,000.
