Lighter and stronger composites as an alternative to conventional materials

One of the main advantages of composites is that they provide lightweight parts with optimum mechanical properties and have a number of very significant benefits for a wide range of applications in sectors such as aeronautics, construction, automotive, naval and sports.

They also allow complex shapes to be obtained with great precision, have excellent resistance to degradation and are highly resistant to corrosion.

TECNALIA develops composite structures via fast and automated production processes and means. It also works on the optimisation of composite components for the lightening of materials.

At the JEC in Paris fair, the international composite event, we will show different technological developments: materials that generate high impact innovation and that will condition, in the medium term, manufacturing processes, especially in the transport sector:
