TECNALIA presents its vision of the new methods of transport and vehicles and the technologies related to energy for mobility.
On Tuesday, 19th October, our colleague, Javier Herrera, was invited by T-Systems to participate in a future mobility table at the Alcalá de Henares Mobile Week 2021.
The table, moderated by the T-Systems smart and sustainable cities architect, Pedro Garibi, also included the general coordinator of Alcalá Town Hall’s Sustainable Urban Development department, Arantxa Pascual, and the technical director of Infrastructures and Mobility at Fuenlabrada Town Hall, Javier Carvajal. Municipal representatives put forward their priorities related to traffic , as well as some major projects in progress or recently implemented.
New methods of transport and vehicles
The TECNALIA team presented our vision of mobility in terms of the new methods of transport and vehicles and the technologies related to energy for mobility. On the other hand, they spoke about the intensive use of data for the simulation of actions and decision-making, avoiding silos and looking towards data spaces with an eye on the function of smart cities platforms.
The intervention was accompanied by a public video of the Lauren aero-taxi to highlight the technological advances in terms of new vehicles. They recommended that public administrations should assume that they will have to consider this and other advanced technologies in the planning of services and municipal structuring.
