Six TECNALIA researchers are recognised in the “World's Top 2% Scientists” list

The list of the world’s scientific leaders for the year 2024 was published in August. Six of our researchers are on the list: Adrian Galdran, Alfredo Suárez, Artzai Picón, Eneko Osaba, Javier del Ser and Salvador Ceballos.

This list, based on Scopus data, is produced in collaboration with Elsevier. It uses citation metrics such as h-index, co-authorship and adjusted citation counts, and is updated annually to maintain transparency and relevance.

Inclusion in the “Top 2%” list is determined by several key metrics

  • C-score: based on bibliometric factors such as total number of citations and h-index.
  • Field and sub-field percentiles: classifies scientists into 22 broad fields and 176 sub-fields, including only those in the top 2%.
  • Career-long or single-year impact: provides a view of both long-term contributions and recent achievements.

Career-long impact

  • Adrian Galdran
  • Javier Del Ser
  • Salvador Ceballos

Single-year impact

  • Adrian Galdran, Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing, Nuclear Medicine and Medical Imaging
