ENERKAD obtains energy diagnostics, analyses the integration potential of renewables and compares different energy transition scenarios
ENERKAD is a solution from Amatech Group and TECNALIA for urban energy analysis. Its aim is to support those responsible for energy management at municipal level in order to help them in their challenge of driving an energy transition to more inclusive, safe, resilient, sustainable and decarbonised cities.
ENERKAD obtains an energy diagnosis of the building; analyses the maximum potential of the integration of renewables; compares different scenarios of energy transition; develops and monitors investments at energy level.
Hourly thermal and electric energy demand
Using basic cartographic and cadastral data and climate data, Enerkad calculates the hourly heating and electricity demand in each building in certain parts of town. The application conducts an energy diagnosis of the building and generates and compares putative improvement scenarios in the medium to long term.
The result is a detailed energy vision of the city, which presents geo-referenced data in a simple and accessible way.
ENERKAD has had a crucial role in several smart city projects in multiple Spanish cities such as Bilbao, Leon, Irun and Donostia-San Sebastián, as well as in other cities such as Groningen (The Netherlands), Oulu (Finland) and Herzliya (Israel).
