TECNALIA selected by ALFANAR to perform the certification of its low voltage circuit breakers (MCCB)

ALFANAR Group is one of the largest powerhouses in the Gulf Countries in the electrical sector. Based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ALFANAR production plants extend to the UAE as well as Europe (Germany, UK, Spain) and India. Some of the products manufactured by ALFANAR Group companies include an extensive range of power transformers, LV & MV switchgear, MV & HV cables, LV MCCBs and switches, protection relays and smart meters.

TECNALIA Electrical Labs were selected by ALFANAR for the certification of their MCCBs for the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), the national utility in KSA. TECNALIA was approved by SEC in 2011 as an internationally recognized third-party laboratory in Saudi Arabia.

The tests were performed in April/May 2019 and the result was fully successful, compliant with the requirements of the IEC 60947-2 standard as for type tests performance. Engineers from ALFANAR visited our laboratories and witnessed most of the tests performed.
