These components will be translated into 23 languages

The European Commission and the international consultancy firm Everis are developing an assessment platform for European citizens who are working or looking for a job that requires digital skills. The objectives are: to improve awareness and knowledge in this area, to understand the overall situation, and to contribute to professional development.

In the third quarter of 2020, working in conjunction with these two entities and top European organisations, TECNALIA identified good practices, compared approaches and selected technological solutions to serve as a benchmark for this ambitious European platform, which will even have links to Europass.

Assessment and certification components

After several meetings, we reached a licensing agreement for components for assessing and certifying digital competences carried out by TRUSTECH, including information on calibrating the assessment items in order to improve their response model.

These components will be translated into 23 languages. The agreement could be extended in the future to more software components with advanced simulations for assessing digital competences.
